Birthday Fundraiser

Kirtan on State
w/  Trevor, Brian, Jade, Zavala, Zachary, & friends

We hope you’ll join us on Friday July 19th at Kirtan on State for a special birthday fundraiser kirtan.

Kirtan on State has offered donation-based bi-weekly kirtans at Yoga on State since early 2021. For much of that time, we've been operating with sound equipment that leaves something to be desired. As the regular band grows to include a more diverse range of instruments and singers, we'd like to take our sound quality up a notch as well. Therefore, on the occasion of my (Trevor's) birthday, we are soliciting funds from the devotional community to put towards the purchase of a quality PA system.

Mala Making Workshop

Sliding scale: $65 - $80

Crystals have been used for a long time to aid in the healing of our culture and throughout time have been held as marvelous healing tools. Everything is vibration and thus certain crystal carry certain vibrations that awaken, activate, heal, cleanse and purify our energies.

Have you ever wanted a Mala necklace but have not found the right one?

Would you like to make your own 108 beaded necklace infused with your personal intentions and prayers?

Do you want to learn more about crystals and the healing benefits they have?

Are you new to meditation or are interested in deepening your meditation practice?

Join Hana Pepin in this fun and interactive hands on workshop where you will leave with a Mala necklace and a wealth of knowledge.

During the workshop we will discuss the...

-Origin, history and application of a 108 Mala Necklace

-Types of crystals, how to choose and the power they carry

-how to integrate Mala meditation into your daily practice

-Learn how to hand tie knots between each bead

-the art of Mantra (chanting) and the power of vibration for personal healing

-and time for your questions to be answered.

Hana Pepin has been hosting mala-making workshops worldwide since 2016 when she created Enchanted Strands. She intends to share the art of beading and the ancient wisdom of mantra (chanting) to harmonize mind, body, and spirit. To her, the process of Mala Making is unique, meditative, and inspiring, no piece is ever the same, and each necklace carries a specific vibration and intention. The stones bring forth the power within an individual to align oneself with their purpose and meaning.

“Each bead is a seed of love to the flower of infinite wisdom and oneness that lies within us. The string is the universal self, existing in everything! The beads are you and I, the unique expressions of the whole. Together we grow in the garden of eternal bliss” -Hana Pepin

Women's Workshop
Shifting Body Image

led by Kaitlyn Nelson

While we all know how important it is to take care of our physical bodies for health reasons, few of us consider how essential it is to truly love and accept our bodies.

Most of us reject our bodies - feeling angry, disappointed and even disgusted by our bodies. Rejecting our physical body disconnects us from ourselves.

Healing body rejection has an impact on your willingness to feel embodied and present, which is a key ingredient in increasing awareness about what we are feeling and needing.

Led by Kaitlyn Nelson, a licensed mental health therapist, Kaitlyn will hold a safe space as you bring loving attention and soothing to parts of you filled with old pain. She will guide a trauma-informed gentle yoga practice to assist you in noticing and connecting to your body. Following, she will guide you through EFT Tapping to unblock stuck / old energy into feeling more confidence and peace within your unique body.

All ages and abilities are welcome.

Ram Dass Satsang
preceded by Kirtan in the Park (indoors) 4-5:30

YoS  enjoys the privilege of hosting a monthly Ram Dass satsang, every 3rd Sunday, led by Nataliia & Janaki, in collaboration with The Ram Dass Fellowship.

‘Satsang’ can be literally translated as “being together in truth”. It entails fellowship with like minded spiritual seekers, engaging in chanting, readings, discussion, meditation, and whatever else the group will deems pertinent.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome to help support the studio and cover satsang expenses.
